Hello, my name is Patrick Hogg; I am an occupational therapy assistant at Madigan Army Medical Center. I am emailing you to ask for written permission to use your photo “Red Knight on Horseback” in a behavioral health group I am designing for active duty military service members to help understand and develop coping skills to improve function. The Group goes over Joseph Campbell's hero's journey stages where the service member writes his or her own heroes journey story. Our hope is to use your photo to empower the military service members who are struggling with traumas and hardships from their past. If you have any questions please email me at patrick.a.hogg.civ@mail.mil

Thank you for your time.

Patrick,

I'm sorry for the delay in replying.  Yes, you may absolutely use this image.  I served for 4 years in the United States Marine Corps and I'd be honored to help others that served.

…even if they only served in the army ;)

This picture looks more or less to the scene of some medieval (middle ages) movie. He looks like to a good knight.

Thank you. I insist it was more luck than brilliance, but for all I know luck is a factor with all photographers.

Thanks. (I'm assuming that your 'WOW!' is positive....as opposed to: "Wow, this photo makes me want to vomit) :)

Thank you. I just went to the Rennaissance Faire, put on a zoom lens, and snapped tons of close-in shots. The extreme zoom kept the plywood castle backdrop out of focus so that it looks like it could be a real castle, and I tried to keep the audience, telephone wires, or anything else modern out of the shot. This was the one great photo out of 40 taken. I wish I could take credit for the eye-slits or the horse's eye, but the true secret is years and years of hard-earned luck.
