Description

Took a break from the Captain America stuff to make my 2-year-old girl a costume. A lot of these older costumes are pretty easy to make from old clothes. I started with a green t-shirt, then I cut off the sleeves of a red t-shirt to put over it. Then the collared cape was just a yellow collared shirt with the collar and back cut out. Then I sewed the collar to the red shirt. The excess fabric from the yellow shirt was used to make the fake "laces" across the front and the "R" on the emblem. The black circle was from a future project for my 4-year-old (Batman....coming soon). The boots and all these shirts were purchased at a thrift store for about three bucks. (We already had the green shorts.) I am not a seamster, so I purposely went for a hand-made look instead of even attempting to make it look perfect. I don't think they mind too much.

Robin is a trademark of DC comics.
